People achieved gliding flight before they achieved powered flight. After the powered aviation era was well under way it was discovered that you could [[mb_soaring|climb away from the earth]] without the assistance of a motor and have adventures in the sky if you were clever about it. This web site is for and by the people that [[mb_soaring|do that in Manitoba, Canada]] at the Winnipeg Gliding Club.

It is also very much about helping you, the visitor to this site, determine if you would like to also have such adventures.
